December starts with a wonderful Steampunk event "Down South" at the beautiful  Victorian seaside of Weymouth.

Friday evening there is the Haunted Harbour Tour which starts at the Nothe Fort at 8PM. There are limited spaces left; tickets are available via the We are Weymouth website here.

Also on Friday evening at the Napoleonic Nothe Fort we will have a gentle festive evening, where Steampunk does Muppets... Steamuppets take on A Christmas Carol!

The film will be playing, there will be lyrics to sing along to, we will have festive treats and drinks, mulled wine and egg nog, Dickensian shenanigans, with games and photo opportunity in a Victorian street facade, all for £9.95 available through the We are Weymouth website here.

Saturday we will be based at The Nothe Fort, commencing at 11am. We will a full set of acts performing, brass band, community choir, Leigh Pooley doing accoustic versions of Steampowered Giraffe and then Major Blunder, our very own Steampunk cheeky chap, who performed at the Major's Soirée at Asylum this year.

Around the fort will be a traditional barrel organ playing, a juggler, circus act, Nerf gun shooting range and face painting....... Then we have Tea dueling, Teapot racing and Cheese rolling with medals to be won, for those able to succeed in the challenge. We will have stalls to buy curiosities, outfits made by the wonderful students of the local college and a traditional Christmas raffle

Sunday we assemble at 11AM under the clock tower on the seafront.

We will then take a saunter along the seafront and through the town, singing carols as we go. We will finish the promanade at the carousel, where we can ride the gallopers. There may be one of those things that don't happen and if they did would be illicit!

The whole weekend will be rounded off with a gathering for Sunday lunch at The Crown Hotel, for that book directly with them on 01305 760800 quoting 'Steam23'.

Finally if you are wondering how the event went in 2022, check out the images in the Gallery tab above - which you can also access here.

We look forward to seeing you in Weymouth for another fabulous Christmas Steampunk celebration!
