The Mad Hatter's Tea Parties - Friday 25 August

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party has long been a feature of the Asylum. Taking place on Friday afternoon, it offers an opportunity for Asylum virgins, Asylum veterans and those who just like afternoon tea to come along and meet other like-minded folk. It is the perfect ice-breaker, particularly if you haven't been to the Asylum before (or you have, or you just like afternoon tea)

This year we will be holding not one but two Mad Hatters Tea Parties - at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM on Friday 25 August at the County Assembly Rooms on Bailgate.

Tickets for the tea parties can be purchased in advance direct from the Assembly Rooms using the link below. The tea parties are only open to Asylum Festival wristband holders.

Tea Parties with French & the Punk + Victor & The Bully
Saturday 26 August

If you like your afternoon tea with a helping of punk, we have the perfect solution. Come along to the County Assembly Rooms on Saturday afternoon for an intimate afternoon tea in the presence of the wonderful NY-based dynamic duo, Frenchy & the Punk.

Equally, if you like a bit of Victor & The Bully with your sandwiches and cake you are in for a treat as well, because the awesome trio will be joining these tea parties too - an opportunity too good to miss.

As with The Mad Hatter's Tea Parties, there will be two sittings - at 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. This will be the perfect opportunity to spend some time up close with these amazing musicians ahead of their perfrmances at the Time Travellers gig at The Engine Shed on Sunday night.

Tickets for the tea parties can be purchased in advance direct from the Assembly Rooms using the link below. The tea parties are only open to Asylum Festival wristband holders.

Early Evening Supper Clubs - Thursday to Monday evenings

One of the tricky parts of attending the Asylum can be finding a way to fit in an evening meal between the excitement of the daytime and the excitement of the evening while still having a short rest and/or changing your outfit.

This year the wonderful people at the County Assembly Rooms have come up with a solution and will be offering a 'Supper Club' on Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings, running from 6 PM to 8 PM.

You can attend the supper club whether or not you are attending an evening event that is also on at the Assembly Rooms the same night, so long as you have an Asylum Festival wristband.

Tickets must be purchased in advance from the link below where you will find details of the menu for each evening.

The food will be served as a buffet in the 'crush room' which is accessed through the corridor to the right of the main auditorium. You will then eat in the room at the back of the Assembly Rooms shown above. Once you have had your meal, you can then head off to the Engine Shed, The Drill, or stay at the Assembly Rooms if you have booked an evening event there.

This is a new venture for Asylum 2023 and we expct it to be very popular, so don't advise waiting too long before you book your meals.
