Photo session with SPG

This is your opportunity to have a professionally taken photograph with the 3 robots and 2 backing musicians of SPG band who will be in makeup and costume. You will get to pose briefly with the band, have your photo taken and then you will leave with a hard copy of the photo.

There will not be time to chat or get an autograph. It is strictly a photoshoot. It will take place in the Edwardian Suite at the County Assembly Rooms. Access to the shoot will be through the main entrance at the front of the Assembly Rooms. You will need a festival wristband (available separately – see below) to enter the building and to use your photo ticket.

The cost of a photo with SPG is £30. One ticket gives access to one person. Tickets are now on sale through the Ministry of Steampunk Ticket Tailor (AXV merchandise) page which you will find here.

Q&A session with SPG

Following the photoshoot, SPG will be taking part in a Q&A session in the ballroom at the County Assembly Rooms. The session is likely to last approximately one hour. SPG will answer questions from the chairperson but there will also be a chance for fans to ask some questions too.

This feature is free to access as part of the Steampunk Festival, accessible to wristband holders only. Capacity is limited so you will need to personally collect one of a fixed number of free ‘Q&A with SPG’ tickets from inside the castle on Saturday morning once the festival opens at 10 AM. Tickets must be collected individually, strictly one ticket per person. The tickets cannot be pre-booked.

The band will be in full makeup and costume for this event.

Please note that the Ballroom will be completely emptied after the previous event taking place in the same location and only festival wristband holders who have a ‘Q&A with SPG’ ticket in their possession will be allowed in. It will not be possible to enter the ballroom for an earlier feature and remain in your seat for the Q&A with SPG.

Merch and autograph session with SPG

On Saturday afternoon SPG will be doing a merch and autograph session in the Heritage Centre inside the castle grounds. You will need a festival wristband to enter the Heritage Centre as well as a ticket for this feature.

You will have an opportunity to buy merch, chat briefly to band members, shake their hands and get an autograph. Sorry there will not be time for photos or selfies. Numbers will be limited.

Tickets for this session cost £40. One ticket gives access to one person. Tickets are now on sale through the Ministry of Steampunk Ticket Tailor page here

Please note that tickets for the Photo session and the Merch and autograph sessions are being sold through different web pages. If you wish to attend both you will need to make two separate purchases.

Farewell meet and merch session

On Monday following the Grand Promenade, SPG will be holding an informal meet and merch session in the Heritage Centre inside the castle grounds. You will have an opportunity to buy merch, chat briefly to band members and get an autograph. Sorry but there will not be time for photos or selfies.

Band members will not be in makeup or costume for this feature.

To access the venue you will need a festival wristband. There will be no additional fee for this feature but please be aware that merch is likely to be in short supply by this stage of the weekend and the feature will be time-limited to one hour, so admission to the feature cannot be guaranteed. The queue will be closed at a point when the band will not have time to meet with more fans in the remaining available time.

A note about wristbands

SPG are coming to the UK to play at a Steampunk Festival called Weekend at the Asylum. In order to attend the majority of the organised features of the festival and in order to access the locations where the features involving SPG will be happening you will need a festival wristband, available here

The Ministry of Steampunk have already waived the requirement of a wristband for the opt-in evening show on Sunday night, but you must be a festival member to attend any of the features listed above.
