13-14 MAY 2023

Whether inspired by Lewis Carroll, the Brothers Grimm or more modern storytellers you will find the castle’s amazing interiors and jaw dropping exterior and views the perfect backdrop.

There will be displays, entertainments and features tucked into the splendour of the castle itself as well as  outdoors where you will also find large scale exhibits.

Under the watchful eyes of the Bureau for Fictional Characters (BFC), the Ministry of Steampunk will not only return to the majestic Regency Castle at Belvoir in 2023, but transform it into a Fairytale location for this family-friendly weekend.

You might expect to see fairytale princesses, wizards, evil step-sisters and queens, mad hatters and more but like all steampunk events you are most welcome to add to the mix yourself if you feel so inclined?

Just don’t prick your finger on the spinning wheel.

The Castle was built in the early 19th Century as a romantic version of the medieval seats of British nobility. That makes it the perfect playground for mischievously adding the magical and fantastic in steampunk’s own inimitable style.

Naturally, you will also find a selection of steampunk traders in the grounds along with a trail or two to follow (but watch out for the big bad wolf).
